UK Abusers set for compulsory lie detectors
Finally a step in the right direction, its been debated in UK Government circles for the last few years to increase the use of the Lie Detector Program following the very successful Sex Offender management Lie Detector Tests. Recently its been noted that over ten UK Government staff have been trained and subsequently applied for membership of the American Polygraph Association (APA). All Examiners working for Lie Detectors UK are APA members and have many years of experience already in the industry.
High-risk domestic abusers could face mandatory lie detector tests when released from prison under legislation to be introduced in parliament today to overhaul how the crime is tackled. Im sure the public will be pleased to see the term ‘mandatory’. This will help to protect vulnerable people in our society today.
Abusers may have to agree to regular polygraph testing as one of the conditions put in their release licence from jail. The measure is part of a bill that for the first time defines domestic abuse and makes clear that it includes economic abuse, such as depriving a person of food or forcing them into debt.
A new civil order will allow courts to impose a range of restrictions, including banning individuals from contacting victims while the police investigate.
The domestic abuse bill includes the power to make perpetrators given domestic abuse protection orders attend rehabilitation programmes…
